    Kaas plateau Maharashtra

    kaas plateau maharashtra

Maharashtra's Valley of Flowers Tour is another name for the Kaas Plateau. The Kaas Plateau is located in the Western Ghats on the tall Sahyadri highlands. The monsoon season, which lasts from the middle of August through October, is the greatest time to visit. The whole plateau has the appearance of a multicoloured carpet. For flora researchers, nature enthusiasts, and photographers, it is a special location. There are over 175 different flower species found in the Kaas Plateau, including one of the few that can only be found there. This area was designated a Biodiversity World Heritage Site by UNESCO in June 2012.

There are 850 kinds of blooming plants on the plateau, 624 of which are included in the Red Data Book, a state list of species whose survival is in danger. Only in the Kaas area may one find as many as 39 species. Dipcadi montanum, Ceropegia vincaefolia, Pleocaulus ritchiei, and Drosera burmannii are just a few of the unusual species that may be found here. This is another reason why the area is well-liked by photographers, flora researchers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

People who are interested in macro photography, landscape photography, flora and fauna, and wildflowers should go on this tour.

    Devkund Pune

    Devkund-Pune

The finest time to indulge in the pleasure of exploring secret paradises is on days when you often feel as if the world is moving out of rhythm with you. In Maharashtra, India, next to the Bhira Dam, the Devkund Pune Waterfall is one spot you may go to unwind during the winter and rainy season or at any other time of the year.

Pune is located roughly 120 miles from the Devkund waterfall. Bhira waterfalls are reachable by trekking, which is advised in the rainy and winter seasons since the summers may be quite hot and humid.
