Photography tour at Lohagad fort 17 October 2015, Saturday

About Lohagad fort
Lohagad “Iron fort” is one of the many hill forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji. It divides the basins of the Indrayani and Pavna and is situated on the other side range of the Sahyadri. The Visapur fort is located on its eastern side. The four large gates of Lohagad are still in good condition and reasonably intact. Historical records show that in the later Peshwas period, Nana Phadnavis (1742-1800 AD) built several structures in the fort.

Frequently Asked questions!
What Gear Will I Need?
For general shots you will need a good wide-angle. Use a 70-300mm to zoom is recommended. A powerful flash can be really useful to fill-in or light pokey areas of interiors or paint with light on an external wall and use a polarising filter if the building has windows, to reduce reflections in the glass. However we cannot guarantee that the use of flash may be allowed at all times.

TIP: Use a tripod, increase the ISO setting and support the camera on a wall, pillar or sign post to prevent camera shake.

How to click better!! - Simple look for details
The object for photography is there we may have to just look around the building for small detail. Lets our eyes be open you'll be surprised at the stone carvings, an old cannon, rock cut steps, carvings on the walls. Alot of caving is usually found at doorways, above windows and on the line of the roof just below or on the ground level. Its may be just like we decorate our homes.

TIP:
On the fort, walk around looking for the best angles to click. Could be of the Mahadarwaja or Ganesh Darwaja. The iead being to showcase shape and style. Locate a perfect view point
