Introduction


f you are attracted to different water cascades for your one-day vacation trip and want to explore different waterfalls existing in the southern side of India ranging from Karnataka to Maharashtra, be a part of Amboli, Ramtirth, Gokak and Godachinmalki, and Nangartas which will help you explore beautiful waterfall of India.

Tour would start from Pune railway station, departing to Ghataprabha by train heading for Gokak falls. After reaching there by private vehicle, sightseeing and visit to Mangleshwar temple will be done.

Gokak Waterfall

This waterfall is located on the Ghataprabha River in the Belgaum district of Karnataka, India.

 

Mahalingeshwars Temple 

Also known as Tarakeshwar temple, this is an ancient monument inside the temple belonging to the reign of Ratta Kartaveerya III. This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva can be dated back to 1153 AD. it is located at Gokak Falls and has been built in Kalyani Chalukyan architectural style.

After lunch, time to proceed to Godachinmalki Falls by a private vehicle

 

Godachinmalki Falls

The Godachinmalki falls located in the rugged deep green valley is also known as Markandeya falls. It is located on the Markandya river in Belgaum district Gokak taluk, Karnataka in India.

You may reach the waterfall from Godachinamalki village, walking or in a private vehicle, crossing an irregular forest route in two kilometers of area. This waterfall is spread in a broad area and the best time to visit it is in September.

After sightseeing at this fall, the return journey starts to Amboli waterfall situated in southern Maharastraian the hill station of Amboli, India. 

 

Amboli Waterfall

The hill station of Amboli is at the height of 690 meters above the sea level and is one of the most eco-friendly spots of the world due to the variety of flora and fauna found here. The Amboli waterfall is incredibly high on this hill station and is visited by numerous tourists throughout the year. Numerous other waterfalls located in the vicinity increases the scenic beauty of the place. The best time to visit this waterfall is during monsoon season ranging from June and July when the waterfall is filled with water generously.

 

Nangarta Falls

One of the famous waterfalls situated at a distance of 10 km from Amboli is Nangarta falls. In this narrow gorge, the water falls from a height of 40 feet. It is located just off the state highway. During monsoon, when the waterfall bubble with a lot of water starts blaring which is very attractive.

 

Ramtirtha Waterfall

After Nangarta Falls sightseeing tour, the next destination on the tour is Ramtirtha waterfall. It is located on River Hiranyakeshi in Ajara Taluka in Kolhapur is just 2 kilometers far from the town Ajara. The town Ajara is one of the most beautiful places to be visited during the rainy season. 

To believe the legend, Ajara is so named because Lord Rama had stayed here during his exile in the forest.

This natural waterfall is popular for its serenity and beautiful location, apt for a day picnic. Several temples in the nearby locations make the spot much sought after amongst as pilgrim venue and day out spot.
