Manali Introductory Skiing Course

 

Skiing is a means of transport using skis to glide on snow. Skiing is one of the most adventurous Sports. It is an electrifying activity, where the ski's are literally your wings. Skiing gives you an opportunity to have a Bird's eye view of the nature and surroundings. Skiing in the Himalayas is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the thrill and the beautiful mountain views together. In this introductory course we specialize in teaching skiing and snowboarding, operating out of the wonderful winter destination, near Manali. Situated in the peaceful north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, We offer the ultimate Skiing/Snowboarding experience. Skiing Gives you a chance of a lifetime, to glide down on some of India's most beautiful snow covered slopes. Do not worry if it is the first time that you would be skiing as you would be under the guidance of professional skiing instructors, with an experience of over 15 years. The instructors would be there to guide you and help you throughout your course duration.

The Skiing experience would be an experience of a lifetime, where you would be taking a lot of learning, memories and of course inculcate a new set of adventure skills. It is a perfect sport/activity to de-stress and get away from the city life. This course/Trip is a perfect opportunity to spend quality time in the lap of mother nature and also to enjoy and have a lot of fun with your friends, family or on your own.

Itinerary:-


DAY 01 – ARRIVAL IN MANALI                                                        
You meet the team in Manali at noon. From there onwards it is a 1 hr drive to Hamta Mountain 360 Hut. Check-in and get into your dorms. Post a hearty lunch, your ski equipment and clothing will be issued with proper setting and checks of your skiis and gears.  You will be introduced to the equipment and to their technical terms involved in Skiing. Evening would be at leisure. You can walk/ snow hike to a nearby village and enjoy the evening sunset with the mountain backdrop.Rest at the Mountain hut for a while. Have your dinner and enjoy the bonfire if the weather permits.

DAY 02 – SKI DAY
Post breakfast and Tea, we start our ski lessons, under our professional instructor's guidance on a small basic slope. We will slowly learn how to stand, walk, and move on skis and try to get a good grip and balance.Slowly you will get a good hang with Skiing and will learn new techniques and tips. Post lunch, you will be free to rest or do short a snow trek to explore the beautiful surroundings and mountains. We regroup again for the evening session practice on the snowy slopes. Rest of the day would be at leisure and you can roam around the market and walk down to the Manali Market.

DAY 03 – SKI DAY
Wake up to a beautiful sunrise and have your Tea and Breakfast. The day would be spent practicing skiing and learning more terms and techniques. By today you would have learned that skiing is all about practice, patience, and more practice. Today you will learn how to make turns and control your skis using the snowplough technique. Once you get some good confidence, You will love every minute of skiing on the Himalayan slopes. It is surely going to be a lifetime adventure and memory.
 If you put in the right amount of efforts and give your fullest, by evening you should be able to stop and turns on the ski with ease and comfort. Post Skiing, enjoy your last night at the Himalayan Hut 360 and retire for the night after singing some sings around the bonfire.

DAY 04 – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, click some beautiful pictures and bid adieu to you friends,your instructors, and the team We will drive you down to Manali, where you will be free to explore Manali market and Old Manali cafes. You can maybe go and take a dip in the hot water springs at Vashisht Village and relax and Unwind at one of the cafes. We see you on our future trips and say goodbye to you with sweet memories of the trip.

The option of doing Snowboarding available on an advance notice and at an extra cost of 1000 per person.

Who can participate? Anyone who is physically fit, and wants to experience and learn the skills of basic skiing and enjoy in the surroundings of the Mountains must sign up for this introductory Skiing Course in Manali. Cancellation charges: 2 months before departure –No Charge. 29-60 days before departure-25% of package price. 10-28 days before departure-50% of package price. Less than 10 days before departure-No Refund.
