Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the Jibhi trip from Delhi start and end?
The trip departs from Akshardham Metro Station, Delhi, on Friday at around 9:00 PM, and returns to the same point on Tuesday at around 7:00 AM. We recommend booking your onward flights or trains for Tuesday evening or night to avoid any rush.
What is the best time to visit Jibhi and Tirthan Valley?
Jibhi is a year-round destination. Summer and monsoon (April–September) bring lush green valleys, full waterfalls, and pleasant weather, while winter (December–February) brings snowfall around Jalori Pass, turning the valley into a snow wonderland. Each season offers a completely different experience.
Will there be snowfall during the trip?
Snowfall is common around Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake between late December and February, though it depends on that season's weather. If you're hoping to see snow, the peak winter months give the best chance. We can't guarantee snowfall as it's nature-dependent.
How difficult is the Serolsar Lake trek?
It's beginner-friendly. The hike from Jalori Pass to Serolsar Lake is a short, gentle forest trail of about 5 km one way, suitable for first-time trekkers. The Chhoie Waterfall walk in Tirthan Valley is also easy. Basic fitness and comfortable trekking shoes are all you need.
What is the altitude on this trip?
Jibhi sits at around 5,000 ft, while Jalori Pass — the highest point of the trip — is around 10,800 ft (3,300 m). The altitude is moderate, but if you have any heart, respiratory, or blood-pressure condition, please consult your doctor and inform us at the time of booking.
What kind of stay is provided?
You'll stay in cosy, traditional Himachali homestays or guesthouses — Sky Blue Homes, Incredible Guest House, or similar — on a quad, triple, or double sharing basis as per your booking. Rooms are warm and comfortable, in keeping with Jibhi's rural mountain charm.
Is Jain or vegetarian food available?
Yes, all included meals are vegetarian. Jain food can be arranged — please mention it at the time of booking in the comments section so we can inform the kitchen in advance. Meals during transit (the overnight journey) are not included.
Are washroom and parking facilities available?
Yes, the stays have proper attached or shared washrooms. At trek points, basic facilities are available. Parking, where applicable, is managed locally and any fee is payable directly to the local authority/panchayat.
Can solo travellers join this trip?
Absolutely. Solo travellers are welcome and join a friendly group of like-minded adventurers — it's one of the best ways to experience Jibhi. You'll be matched into a sharing room with same-gender co-travellers.
Are female travellers welcome? Is it safe?
Yes, female travellers are warmly welcomed and the trip is safe for women, including solo female travellers. We maintain a balanced group ratio and keep female trek leaders or staff on board where available. Rooms are allotted on a same-gender sharing basis.
What should I pack for the Jibhi trip?
Carry comfortable trekking shoes, warm layers (essential even in summer evenings, and heavy woollens in winter), a raincoat or poncho during monsoon, a personal water bottle, sunscreen, a power bank, basic medication, and a valid government photo ID (mandatory for travel and check-in).
What if it rains or there's a landslide?
Mountain weather and road conditions can cause delays, and landslides are always a possibility in the hills. For safety, the itinerary may be adjusted, rerouted, or shortened without prior notice. Leaving Delhi on time helps us stay ahead of traffic and delays. No refund is provided for changes caused by weather or conditions beyond our control.
Is there mobile network and Wi-Fi in Jibhi?
Network coverage is patchy in the mountains — BSNL and Jio work best in parts of Jibhi, but expect limited connectivity around Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake. It's a good chance to disconnect and enjoy the valley.
