Pick the city you want to start from. Both packages follow the same 3 nights / 4 days itinerary, with two full days of guided sightseeing in Hampi. Book your seat with ₹2,000 per person and pay the balance at the start of the trip.

Our Hampi group tour has confirmed departures from Pune and Mumbai every Friday, all weekends. It’s open to travellers aged 16 to 45, and solo travellers are welcome. Rooms are shared by gender, so if you’re travelling alone you’ll stay with group members of the same gender.

Hampi Itinerary at a Glance: Pune & Mumbai, 3 Nights / 4 Days

This Hampi trip from Pune and Mumbai runs from Friday night to Monday morning: two nights on an overnight bus, one night in a hotel or cottage, and two full days of sightseeing.   • Cross the Tungabhadra River to Hippie Island (Virupapur Gaddi) and explore by bike, past paddy fields, banana plantations and boulder hills.
  • Take a coracle ride in Hampi’s round basket boats and try guided cliff jumping at Sanapur Lake.
  • Visit Durga Temple, Sugriva’s Cave, Anegundi Village and Chintamani Temple, sites linked to Kishkindha in the Ramayana.
  • Climb Anjanadri Hill (about 575 steps), believed to be the birthplace of Hanuman, for one of the best sunsets in Hampi.

  • Travel will be in a non-AC bus/tempo traveller (seater type).

  • Seats are allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis at the pickup point.

How to Reach Hampi from Pune and Mumbai

The easiest way to reach Hampi from Pune or Mumbai is an overnight bus to Hosapete (Hospet), the nearest town, 13 km from Hampi. Our group trip includes this bus both ways, with pickups in Pune and Mumbai.

By bus: KSRTC and private operators also run overnight buses from Pune and Mumbai to Hosapete. From there, take an auto, taxi or local bus to Hampi.

By train: The nearest railway station to Hampi is Hospet Junction (HPT). A few trains run there from Pune and Mumbai, as well as from Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Goa. Timings and running days change, so check IRCTC before you plan. Mumbai travellers joining our trip can take the Vande Bharat Express to Pune and board our bus at Deccan.

By flight: Hampi has no airport of its own. The closest is Jindal Vijayanagar Airport (VDY) at Toranagallu, about 40 km away, with limited regional flights. How Many Days Are Enough for Hampi?

Two days in Hampi are enough to see the highlights: one day on the Hippie Island and Anegundi side of the Tungabhadra River, and one day of guided sightseeing around the Vittala and Virupaksha temples. This 3 nights / 4 days trip from Pune and Mumbai is planned exactly that way, so it works as a long-weekend trip outside Maharashtra. The best time to visit Hampi is October to February, when temperatures stay between about 15°C and 30°C and sightseeing is comfortable. Hampi in October is still green after the monsoon, and the Hampi Utsav festival is usually held in winter.
