Chaulher Fort Introduction
Chaulher Fort is comparatively unknown in Satana, Nashik District, Maharashtra. It is also referred to as Chaurgad and Chalheri by the locals. Chaulher Fort has a remarkable similarity to Salher Fort, the highest fort in Maharashtra. Mughals secured the fort from Baglan King Bahirji in 1637. Chaulher fort is 3700 feet above sea level. Marathas conquered the fort along with many Forts from the Mughals in the Baglan region.

- Chaulher Fort has few water reservoirs. On the machi, there is a big tank for rainwater storage and evidence of fortification.

- There are two ways to reach Chaulher Killa. If you turn right, you will reach the fort in 15 minutes. You can see many cisterns created inside the stones, Moti take has portable water among these cisterns. 'Take' means a water container in Marathi. If you turn left from the Machi to the fortress, there are statues of Hanuman and Chaurangnath.
- A maximum of two hours would be required to explore Chaulhergad.

- By Train, you can reach Nashik and board bus to Satana town. From Satana town, you can take a bus to Tilawan. Tilawan to Wadi Chaulher covered in 25 minutes.
