Overview

Information on Pawna Lake Camping Near Lonavala

Pawna Lake in Maharashtra is one of the best lakeside camping spots near Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Pune. Our campsite at Thakursai, near Lonavala, pitches tents right at the water's edge, so you fall asleep to the sound of the lake and wake up to views of the Sahyadri hills. Overnight camping at Pawna is the easiest weekend escape from the city, whether you are coming with friends, family, a college group or a corporate team.

What sets Pawna apart from an ordinary tent stay is the setting. In the early monsoon, the shoreline lights up with fireflies, making a firefly camping night at Pawna one of the most magical experiences near Mumbai. On clear nights, the open lakefront is perfect for stargazing far from city lights. And for the active crowd, the area links to trekking routes up Lohagad, Visapur, Tikona and Tung forts, with kayaking on the lake on calm days. Few campsites at Pawna bring all of this together in a single stay.

You can reserve your spot with just Rs 400 per person and pay the balance at the campsite, so booking is easy and low-commitment.
