- Yamunotri: Located in the Uttarkashi district, Yamunotri is the source of the River Yamuna and is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. The temple is situated at an altitude of 3,293 meters.
The Char Dham Yatra is considered highly auspicious, and completing it is believed to wash away sins and lead to salvation (moksha). The yatra typically starts from Yamunotri and proceeds to Gangotri, Kedarnath, and finally, Badrinath.
