At night, the temperature drops below zero. Also, the ascent is steady and slow, and because the slope is low, it is easy to get used to the change in temperature. So, it's a great trek for both first-time trekkers and trekkers of all ages.

    18. What makes the Kuari Pass trek unique?

Lord Curzon, a govt representative and keen traveller and explorer, picked this walk path in 1905 to explore and wonder at the Garhwal districts of the Himalayas. He named it Lord Curzon's Trail. Auli, known for its ski slope and breathtaking vistas of snow-covered Nanda Devi, starts the hike. Auli's 9.4-km Kuari Pass trip. From Auli, you can see the entire Nanda Devi Mountain against the blue sky without any trees or plants, showing its massive posture.

The journey offers stunning views of snow-capped mountain ridges and uncommon views of isolated mountains standing tall against the red sky.
This is what makes it special

The greenery softens the sun and the undulating trees warm the hike. The hike's oak woodlands stand out for their rich flora and fauna and how the sun shines through the leaves and hits the ground in golden brilliance. Even camping in the woods makes you feel connected to nature.

At the trek's summit, the view is unforgettable. As you reach the crest to the summit, mountains appear in front of you. From the summit of the Garhwal Himalayas, you can see huge valleys and forests with white streams of clean water pouring down from melting snow.
