As you drive through the forest in your open gypsy, you will learn how the forest works and hear the various animal calls made when they see a moving tiger. These calls are vital in tracking the tiger movement and spotting it. Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve gets its name from the Taru Tribal God and the Andhari River that runs through the Wildlife Reserve. The nearest cities are Chandrapur and Nagpur, which are well connected by train and airport.

Tadoba Safari Itinerary

Day One - Welcome to Nagpur City and your first Wildlife Tiger Safari

08:00 - After reaching Nagpur Junction railway station, our team captain will meet you, move towards your vehicle, and begin your journey for Tadoba jungle. 

08:30 - Pick up from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. It will take three hours with one halt for breakfast to reach Tadoba wildlife sanctuary. 

Noon: Reach the Tadoba resort and Check into your room and get freshen up.

12:30 Lunch will be served. After Lunch, get ready for your first Tadoba jungle safari. Tadoba safari is conducted in one of Maharashtra's most beautiful national parks, with bamboo forests and rich vegetation. Tadoba forest is a perfect destination for nature lovers, tiger lovers, enjoy birding and wildlife spotting. We have spotted tigers in the past inside this national park, although it's not guaranteed that you'll see them too. The beautiful wilderness & dense precious biodiversity of the Tadoba tiger reserve will make you feel exalted.

14:00 Get ready for your first safari. If you have signed up for a wildlife expert, you can have a knowledgeable safari and conversation with him. Keep your camera and binocular handy always. The forest guide will help in tracking the tiger, birds, other wildlife. Once the safari ends, we will return to our Tadoba resort. Enjoy a quiet evening with a cup of tea. We are discussing the wildlife sighting and a QnA session. 

21:30 Enjoy your Dinner and rest. We have an exciting day lined up for you at Tadoba Andhari national park.

Day Two - Two Tiger Safari Today  

05:00 - Wake up call and early morning tea. We are going to complete two Tadoba tiger safari today. We plan to visit two different tadoba tiger reserve zones. Each zone has unique forest elements and beautiful wildlife and birds. Our focus will be spotting the tiger and big cats as they are active in territory marking and hunting activities in the early morning. Morning is the best time for birding in the forest. 

05:30 - Enter the forest gate for the First-morning Tadoba tiger safari. Enter the forest gate for the First-morning Tadoba tiger safari. In the bustling jungles of Tadoba, wandering wild animals have something unique to show you. Feel the thrill and excitement of tiger spotting and wildlife safari. The wilderness here and will not disappoint you.

10:00 - We will exit the woods once the period is over. 

11:00 - Settle down for morning breakfast and tea 

13:00 - Lunch will be served to get ready for the evening safari 

14:00 - Head out for the evening safari 

14.30 - Third Tadoba safari begins. Evening safari is the most exciting time during the wildlife tour. Spend the evening exploring the jungle with a forest guide and enjoy watching wildlife such as tigers, deer, and many more. Learn about forestry and wildlife during your jungle safari tour while enjoying the natural elements.

Day Three - Departure

After breakfast check out and drive to Nagpur. Drop at Railway station/Airport. Collect your train tickets from the Tour leader and board train back to Mumbai.

  • Kindly note above itinerary is tentative. The trip might end late also depending on the traffic, weather conditions, group speed, and many other unforeseeable factors.  
  • Wildlife safaris are a matter of luck and opportunity. No guarantee of any sighting is made. Neither of our associates will quote that, although we try our best to spot and show you as much as nature allows us to.
  • Never enter the forest with an intention of spotting a single species, it will only disappoint you. The forest is a gift packet with a lot to surprise with. Listen to our naturalist for more wonderful experience.
  • Our safaris are not target species specific (Unless specified)
  • We explore everything we find uncommon and need to be explained.
  • Any demand for spotting a single species in any jeep will not be entertained by the guide or the tour leader as there are other travellers who would want to see the birds etc.
  • Respect & honour everything that is in the forest and it has to offer you.
  • Enjoy being in the forest and you will feel much happier away from the concrete chaos.
  • Respect the local, tribes, guards, guides, drivers, officers and all animals.
  • Front seat of the Gypsy is always reserved for the Guide or Guard.
  • No extra room will be made for photographers, respecting other travellers. (For photographers it is recommended to opt for higher options)
  • No littering in the forest strictly. (what goes comes back the same way)
  • Camera fees & guide tips to be paid separately & directly.
  • Kindly follow the instructions given by the tour leader and the guide for your own safety.

  • 75% refund if notified via phone conversation 30 or more days prior to the event date.
  • 50 % refund if notified via phone conversation 30 to 21 days prior to the event date.
  • 20 % refund if notified via phone conversation 21 to 7 days prior to the event date
  • No refund if the cancellation requested is less than 7 days prior to the event date

Famous Gates in Tadoba National Park 

Tiger Reserve can be entered by different gates The most popular gate at Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve for Wildlife Safari is Moharli zone. Tadoba divided into the Core Zone, and Buffer Zone spotting wildlife percentage is similar in both zones. The Buffer zone has more opportunities for Birding and spotting Tigress and cubs.

Kolsa Gate or Kolsa Zone

Densely forested spotting wild animals are little tricky here more accessible from Chandrapur city. If you plan your Tadoba Safari in this zone, we recommended staying Chandrapur. Tadoba jungle in the Kolsa zone is very beautiful right out of storybooks untouched and pristine. 

Moharli Gate or Moharli Zone 

Here most hotels are located, and chances of spotting wildlife are high from this gate. Famous tigress Soonam and Maya found in this zone. Famous Tiger Gabbar and Matkasur detected in this zone. Tadoba Jungle Safari is very popular from this Mohurli gate.

Wild Animals at Tadoba Tiger Reserve

Wild Animals you can spot at Tadoba National Park India Bison, Spotted Dears, Four Antler deer, marshland crocodiles, Sambar, Wild boar, Monitor lizard, Indian Muntjac, baking deer, Langurs. Tadoba Andhari located at the hills of Chimur, Kolsa, Navegoan, and Moharli. Tadoba Forest was declared a Tiger reserve in 1955, and later Andhari was joined in 1986.

Flora of Tadoba

There is a dry deciduous jungle and the center zone comes with dense forest in the park. And it is very common to see teak trees and other wild trees like crepe myrtle, semal, crocodile bark, etc. in the park. There you can also stumble on the dense region of the park, axle wood and next to the lake, black plum trees, and Arjun trees can also be noticed. You might not be aware but Tadoba National Park also has velvet bean, a medicinal plant, which is used for curing Parkinson’s ailment. Here, other medical plants take in bheria and bija.

Fauna of Tadoba

Did you know that this national park is also famous as a tiger reserve that’s cordially recognized in the name of ‘The Land of Tigers’? Despite the species of Bengal Tiger, it also accommodates other mammals such as Sloth Bear, Leopard, Rusty Spotted Cat, Indian Mouse Deer, Wild Pig, Flying Squirrel, and so on. Moreover, with the sunset, the Small Indian Civet, the Palm Civet, and the Flying squirrel are usually seen. There are more or less 195 species of birds that consist of a honey buzzard, the shy jungle fowl, paradise flycatcher, etc. Varieties of reptiles you can find here include endangered Indian python, star tortoise, cobra, and so on. 

Best Time to Visit Tadoba

As there is no online facility available you have to visit the Navegoan gate of park for booking. In addition, you can also take on a private jeep from a taxi stand close at hand.
