Kalsubai is the highest peak of the Sahyadri, the Everest of Maharashtra. At the summit is a small temple of Kalsubai. This being the highest peak, it commands a beautiful view. To the north of the mountain range forts such as Ramsej, Harihargad, Brahmagiri, Anjaneri, Ghargad, Bahula, Tringalwadi, Kavnai can be seen. To the east one can spot Aundha, Vishramgad, Bitangad, to the west Alang, Madangad, Kulang, Ratangad (south west) and to the south Pabhargad, Ghanchakkar, Harishchandragad can be seen.
Itinerary for Kalsubai starts by travel up to Kasara by Kasara local train starting from Mumbai CST timing are as below:
22:50 Mumbai (CST)
01:20 Assemble at Kasara Rail Station
01:00 Travel Kasara to Base Village.
05:00 Fresh up, tea & breakfast
06:30 Start trek toward Kalsubai.
10:30 Reach top of Kalsubai,
11:45 Start descending Kalsubai,
14:00 Lunch in Base Village.
15:00 Travel from Bari to Kasara.
18:00 Disperse at Kasara rail Station.
Inclusion: Travel from Kasara to Kasara and back by local transport, 1 veg breakfast.

What to wear for this trek?

It is mandatory that you visit your personal physician before enrolling for the trip if you suffer from any illness of any kind and disclose the same and your medical history to the organizers of the trip so that best possible arrangements can be carried out post approval. As organizers of the trip, we will be responsible for providing basic first aid throughout the trip. In case of unexpected mishaps or accidents, we will arrange for the injured patron to be taken to the nearest medical hospital wherever possible. The medical expenses will have to be borne by the patrons themselves. The cost mentioned above is for Indian citizens ONLY payable in Indian Rupees.
